Mary Ann Caws is Distinguished Professor of English, French, and Comparative Literature at the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York. She has lectured the world over. Translator and editor, she writes widely on poetry and poetics, literature and art. Some of her many works are: Reading Frames in Modern Fiction, The Eye of the Text, The Art of Interference, Women of Bloomsbury, Edmond Jabès.
