Richard L. Hattendorf

Richard L. Hattendorf received his Ph.D. in French Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1987. He has been an Assistant Professor of French at East Carolina University, Greenville, since 1988. He has presented papers on Reverdy at the Southern Comparative Literature Association and the MLA conventions (1986). He is a regular contributor to The French Review where he has published book reviews on surrealism (1989) and Apollinaire (1991). His "Reverdy's 'Coeur de chêne': A Juxtaposition of Apparently Disparate Codes" appeared in Comparative Literature Studies in 1989.
