Nancy M. Arenberg is an Associate Professor of French at the University of Arkansas. She specializes in seventeenth-and eighteenth-century epistolary literature and theory. Her monograph entitled Textual Transvestism: Revisions of Heloise (17th-18th-Centuries) has recently been published by Rodopi/Brill in Amsterdam. Over the years, she has also published numerous articles and book chapters on seventeenth-century French epistolary texts and Francophone women writers, mainly from North Africa and Quebec. Professor Arenberg is presently working on Jewish transnational authors, focusing on memory, gender and sexual identity issues.
