Gerry Max

Gerry Max received a B.A. in History from Lawrence University, an M.A. in Classics and a Ph.D. in Ancient History from the University of Wisconsin. Recently he obtained an M.L.S. from the School of Library and Information Studies at the same university. He has contributed articles to Ancient World, Byzantinische Zeitschrift, Classical Bulletin, Études byzantines and Historia, and has written on "Libraries in Ancient Mesopotamia" in The Encyclopedia of Library History (1992). Besides completing work on a novel, he is currently engaged in research on the different schools of library historical thought that have emerged in the past century.
