“His Own Side-Show”: E.R. Dodds and neoplatonic studies in Britain, 1835–1940

Robert B. Todd is Professor of Classics in the Department of Classical, Near Eastern and Religious Studies at the University of British Columbia. He has published extensively on Stoicism and on the Greek Aristotelian exegetical tradition. Since 1995 he has also worked on the history of British classical scholarship, with particular reference to philosophical studies, and is currently preparing an intellectual biography of E.R. Dodds.
