Where is Paradise? Eschatology in Early Medieval Judaic and Islamic Thought

Ginger (Gyongyi) Hegedus holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Leuven (Belgium) and a Post-Doctoral License in Medieval Studies from the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies (Toronto). Currently she is Assistant Professor at Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. Her doctoral thesis and her post-doctoral work focus on the intersection of medieval Islamic and Jewish philosophy, both the rational kalam tradition and philosophical Neoplatonic mysticism. She has published several articles and translations from Saadya Gaon al-Fayyoumi, the first Jewish philosophical thinker of the Middle Ages. She can be reached at ghegedus@stfx.ca
