About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Georesources and Environment - IJGE (formerly International Journal of Geohazards and Environment) provides an international open forum for researchers and practitioners to publish scholarly and high quality original papers, state-of-the-art reviews and case studies on a wide range of topics relevant to development and use of the natural resouces existing on the Earth's surface and in its crust and the associated environmental issues.

Topics covered and papers invited

- Mineral Resources Extraction
- Materials Processing and Utilization
- Geo-Construction Engineering
- Geohazards and Geo-Environment.

Papers on real-life case studies, reduction of geohazards damages and protection of infrastructure and living environment are particularly invited.

Peer Review Process

Papers to be published in this journal will be subject to a rigorous arms-length peer review process.  Manuscripts will be reviewed by an editor and two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field(s).  The review process normally takes three months.  Positive recommendations from at least two reviewers will be required before a paper can be accepted for publication.  The final decision about acceptance of the paper for publication will be made by the Editor-in-Chief who will notify the author of the decision.

IJGE is published quarterly and each issue is published collectively with its own table of contents.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

International Journal of Georesources and Environment (IJGE) is a continuation and expanded version of the former "International Journal of Geohazards and Environment" started in 2015.
