An interview with Young Adult author Suzanne Sutherland. The interview focuses on Toronto, the straight edge scene, music and subculture, Sutherland's first book, When We Were Good and the importance of queer representation in YA books. Sutherland also recommends a number of YA novels.

Author Biography

Mark Black, Dalhousie University

Mark Black (MLIS Candidate, 2014) has a BA in English from Dalhousie. He has worked for the Coast, Street Cents, and the Smithsonian Channel and has been a contributor to Skyscraper Magazine and Culture.ca. He has recently published his first book, NoMeansNo - Going Nowhere (Invisible Publishing). He serves as DJIM's Editorial Co-Chair and SIMSA's VP Non-Academic.
