Abstract

Making a commercial for the public library teen space is a great way to involve teens in filmmaking while creating some peer-to-peer marketing for the library. This program introduces teens to the ideas of film and commercials, from storyboards, scripts, cut scenes, and editing. Commercials can be completed in two sessions with the use of smart phones and a budget of $100 or less; they can then be shared on the public library website.
