Empathy: What is it, and why does it matter? “Empathy is like an English semicolon”...or so says this article, offering an introductory framework and much-needed definitions for a multidimensional concept that is often interpreted and measured very differently. It also provides a rationale for why empathy is an important skill for teens to develop and practice.
