La collaboration de Dumas et Meurice : une leçon d’écriture
Abstract
This study focuses on the collaboration between Dumas and Paul Meurice and is based on the study of two novels, Le Château d’Eppstein and Amaury. The comparison of Meurice’s manuscripts with the final version of the novels allows to define the share of each of the two editors. It also highlights the rewriting carried out by Dumas, and the improvements to the text that can be credited to him. Rewriting can therefore be assimilated to a writing lesson.
