Alexandre Legault (Editor-in-chief)

Alex is a Master of Information/Master of Resource and Environmental Management (MI/MREM) student at Dalhousie University. He is a member of the Environmental Information: Use and Influence Research Program and NSERC ResNet: A network for monitoring, modelling, and managing Canadian ecosystem services for sustainability and resilience. His research interests include social-ecological systems, science and technology studies, and evidence use in decision-making.

 

Shannon Bateman (Editor)

Shannon is a second-year student in the Master of Information (MI) program. She is interested in connecting information, art, and feminism, with a focus on creative pedagogies in library and information science. Her background includes an MA in Folklore and experience in community-engaged research across rural and remote areas.

 

Rebecca Marjoram (Editor)

Rebecca is a Master of Information (MI) student at Dalhousie University. She has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and over 10 years of experience in health research and community health promotion settings. Her current research interests are the roles that academic journals play in the dissemination of research, access to research, incentives and unintended consequences in the journal publication system. In her free time, she can be found paddle boarding, trail running, practicing aerial silks, or reading.

 

Emily McLean (Editor)

Emily is a Master of Environmental Studies (MES) student at Dalhousie University, holding bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology, as well as an Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate. Her research interests span pollinator ecology, environmental health, and the intersection of science and public policy. Emily's current work investigates heavy metal contamination in honey as a bioindicator of environmental health, contributing to public policy and conservation strategies.

 

Erin Keast (Editor)

Erin is a Master of Resource and Environmental Management (MREM) student at Dalhousie University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and a Certificate in Viticulture and Oenology. Her research focuses on coastal adaptation to climate change, the intersection of science and policy in decision-making, and corporate social responsibility. 


Kateryna Rudenko (Editor)

Kateryna is a Master of Environmental Studies (MES) student at Dalhousie University's School for Resource and Environmental Studies. Her research explores the connection to the more-than-human world through the lens of displacement, focusing on liminal spaces, imagined landscapes, epistemic injustice, and storytelling as a means to express the deep significance of ties to ancestral lands for displaced Ukrainians.


Samantha VanNorden (Editor)

Sam is a current MI student at Dalhousie University and holds an MA in English Literature from Acadia University. Her academic interests focus on polemical writing, critical theory, and the representation of information in popular culture and the media.

 

Taylor Brown (Editor)

Taylor is a first year MI student who holds a BA from the University of Guelph in English and Creative Writing. Her undergraduate thesis on trauma, memoir and CanadaReads was published in Contemporary Kanata in 2021. She can be found hanging around museums, reading and cycling. 


Ahmad Hameed (Editor)

Ahmad is pursuing his Interdisciplinary PhD (IDPhD) at Dalhousie University under the supervision of Dr. Melanie Zurba. With background both in the natural and social sciences, he is interested in interdisciplinary approaches to environmental crises and works with Indigenous Partner Organization KUA Hawai’i. His previous and ongoing research highlights community-based approaches to management and centers Indigenous perspectives.
